Pedal Sets

Does anyone know of any GOOD pedal sets? Pictures, contacts, websites, etc. appreciated. I know Brabus makes a set but there is no dead pedal available. I also want to see a pix of it before dropping $195 on a set.

There is no dead pedal on the c class in total, so that's not surprising.

Have you looked into what it would involve to install a dead pedal? It might be not worth it, or might not be even possible or desired, to drill into that part of the floorpan. Just a thought.

I'm used to driving stick shift and I use the dead pedal alot when driving aggressively. There is no dead pedal, but there is a spot where the dead pedal should be. Other Mercedes(Such as the S class) have plastic ones. I'd rather put my "dirty" feet on an upgraded dead pedal than on the carpetted void. It makes me wonder why Mercedes would make a sports car and not provide a dead pedal. Go figure, I guess it adds to the excitement of upgrading your car!!! Thanks for the input.

This may seem a bit cheesy.

The first thing I did when I got my car is cut out a piece of vinyl and placed it over the carpeted dead pedal area. I left some tabs on the left side and slid the tabs between the plastic kick panel and floor. I thought I would have to come up with some way to attach the right side to keep it form sliding around, but it hasn't moved in 3 weeks of constant use. There's a tight fit between the kick panel and carpet to keep the vinyl mat clamped in place. It does it's job of keeping the road salt and dirt out of the carpet and cost me nothing. Here's a pic.

I like it. Simple, and it does the job. I tried to do something similar when I installed my WeatherTech rubber mats. My OEM Java mats were even lighter than yours and I knew they'd take a beating. I had a couple of pieces left from trimming the rear mats and I slid them under the front mat to cover the carpeted dead pedal area. It's not quite as clean looking as yours, so I may rethink it.

I like it. I have charcoal interior and what you've done would be so inconspicuous. It would also draw more attention to the aluminum pedals. Thanks for the tip!!!

Here's an example of its use. Ever take a hard corner, and because you're a car guy you know the limits of your car and can feel the threshold of your tires. With this in mind, while taking the corner you know that you can give it just a little bit more gas without sacrificing grip. So you apply pressure to the dead pedal with your left foot to give your body the needed stability to add just the right amount of gas and steer you car properly through the turn's apex. The dead pedal helps you gain control while centripetal force works against you.

In addition, it keeps the part of the carpet from wearing where you normally keep your left foot!

i just thought it kept that spot of your carpet nice and clean, since it doesnt have floor mat on it.
