Photo Sensor mishap while changing ambient light in the rear-view mirror.
I was following the DIY listed in the following thread:

... and as I popped the mirror housing open, the photo sensor located on the back of the "rear view mirror" broke off.
From what I see there's 2 photo sensors, one located on the mirror itself, and another one located on the back of the rear view mirror.
The question is, will the auto-dimming stop working because one of the sensors is broken? I certainly hope these sensors aren't connected in series, because that'd be bad design.
