Question After market leatherseat? Can't get C5!

Hey guys, this is my first post. If I am asking something that has been asked already, please excuse me.

I placed an order for a c230 with c2, c7, bose, cd changer in late Dec. The dealer told me the car won't go into production until the 1st week of Feb. However, after I placed my order, I changed my mind and wanted leather interior instead of the cloth one. So I call my dealer up and asked him to change my option from c2 to c5. He told me no because once he entered the data into the system everything is set.

I then asked him to do a search of c230s with c5, c7, in orion blue or white in southern Cali area, he told me there is none.

What should I do guys,,,should I just get aftermarket leathers or live with it? I can't really reorder the car since I have already pushed back up purchase for four months ( from dec to mar)

sorry if this is a long post...

Zot..

Since that's exactly the color that I have, I'll cut you a little slack on not searching through the already posted material.

Benzomoterey had Classic Soft Trim do his car for a little over $1500. There are pics of it further down, just look for them. He's very happy with them; he got a two-tone. I'll be doing the exact same thing (but it better colors) within a couple of weeks. I'd recommend doing that, and not worrying about trying to get factory leather.

Welcome to the forum! The car's definitely worth the wait.

Zot,

I ordered my car the week after Christmas for a late Feb. delivery. The order for a silver C230 included C5. Three weeks later I changed the order to include C7 and it only pushed the delivery back a week. From what I understand, there is a period of time, once the order is placed that you can make any changes you want. Then the status goes to G1 or something like that and they can't make any changes. I think in my case, they just ordered another car and figured they could sell first one off the floor or before it comes in.

I hope that helps.

My white C230 is having the leather done now. When I pick it up today/tomorrow, I will let you know if it's worth it. I went with solid black not 2-tone like Benzomoterey, but I did use Classic Soft Trim.

So sensitive! I was kidding, of course, though I haven't changed my mind recently about the burgundy/silver combo. There's still time, though.

I hope that mine looks as nice as your car when I get it done.

Dealer is lying. You can make changes right up to the day before they start building it. There's even a special CODE for that last day you can make changes.

Flashman is right, you can make changes up to build date. You can even add dealer accessories at the pre-build price when the car is on the boat!

Since I can't reply...!!!

Here's the link to my post on Vista Status Codes. Question the dealer as to the status of your car and go from there.

I ordered my car from laguna Niguel less than two weeks ago, it is being built first week of feb with and expected arrival in the first week of March.

They said if I was fexible on even one option they could probably get it from another dealer quicker. I bet they could get this car in less time for less money.

LN have 27 C-Coupes on the forecourt as of Monday at 6:00pm. Very possible they have what you are looking for.
