Question Shock/Spring Upgrade?

To me the stock suspension on my car (02 C230) is a little stiff. I would like to upgrade the shocks and/or springs to give me a smoother/softer ride. Any suggestions?

I don't know if that is possible. All the aftermarkets that I know of are designed to make the car stiffer and handle better.

My only suggestion is to go buy a Cadillac.

What about the CTS? They don't look that bad, although I've never really looked at one up close.

I wish it was alot harder so it wasnt so pudgy in cornering. But I am impressed with how neutral my car remains with the cheap tires i threw on it. Nitto nt450 because the continental Contisports were gone after 5k miles. I have the C7 wheels.

I thought i read it wrong....

there is a way to make it softer, just ride on bad shocks, goto a junkyard and look for shocks that has... let's say 150K miles on it, buy 4 and install it on your car. I believe this would solve your "too soft" problem.

Other than that, I don't know of any aftermarket manufactures that makes spring or shocks that is actualy softer than OEM...

For teeenagers, Isn't it the other way around?Stiffer shocks & springs like the rice crowd? Very unusual.

For some reason I missed the harsh ride of the cut spring , still prefer the solidness of the Coilover ride anytime though

Hei Wong...what made you switched to Carlsson coilover?...did the stock shocks gave away?....how was the ride compared to your cut eibach springs?? ... I was thinking to get Bilstein shocks as my ride was getting harsher in the last 2-3 months.
How much did you pay for your Carlsson coilover?? and how much for installation?...where did you get it from? ... sorry plenty of questions there

My stock shocks are perfectly fine, i just tired of driving a car with cut spring, it looked good but didn't drive good . The ride compare to cut spring is wayyy better, very solid and you can actually feel the steering more tighter. Now i'm at the highest height of the coilover and the ride is much better than stock, i haven't lower it yet. If i were you get the H&R cupkit or the coilover, trust me it's worth it . I pay AUS$2000 for the coilover plus AUS$300 to get it send over here, installation cost AUS$390. I get it from my friend over in Indonesia
