Evolution of the C-Coupe

Was digging around on google today...came across some old spy shots of the C-Coupe on an old part of MBSPY. Pretty wild seeing the various spy shots and the sketches of what the media thought it would look like. If your a long time member here, this is probably old news, but I didn't follow MB at all until the Coupe.

I have to admit, I like it with the sedan tailights.

There's lots more photos and the whole article :

Looks like a Frankenstein C Coupe to me - sort of a photoshop exercise. Or a raw design variant, at best.

I'm sure that's a retouched spy shot.

Did you look at the others there? Interesting, eh?

There had been another photochopped sedan based coupe that I really liked a lot. This one, the truck area almost reminds me of a jetta. I do wish that the coupe was really a two door version of the sedan with a trunk. I love the sport coupe but I think this style would feel more refined and less juvinile. I want one.
