Side Mirror Heating Does Not Work!

Hi all,

I owned a W203 C200K (M271 engine). However, i noticed that both side mirrors heating failed to heat up at all. Do you have any idea what went wrong? I can't see the mirror at all when it is raining and when it is foggy.

does it suppose to heat up by itself automatically according to the Heating temperature inside the car cabin? Is there a button that i should enable first? I have cross check with MB Germany service centre with my VIN number and confirmed that my car built in with the side mirror heating system.

can somebody advise me what to check? fuse is perfectly alright.

thoughts?

Regards,
Derek

I wonder whether the mirror heating is fitted ?? In most cars it is activated by turning on the rear screen demister.

In my manual it makes it clear that I have no control over the mirror heating. The car heats the mirrors fully automatically. The rear defroster doesn't do a thing for my mirrors. My driver's side mirror heats up when its cold outside, but the passenger side one does not so my car either doesn't have an element in that side or it is dead.

On my S430 only the passenger side defrosts but not the driver side. Is there a fuse for something like this?
