2004 C Coupe

Has anyone determined if there will be a new body style or any difference between the 2003 and the 2004 C coupe?

Perhaps subtle changes to the bumper covers, taillights, etc. - there won't be any sheetmetal differences.

The C-coupe sells well overseas. MB-USA may decide to quit importing them, but I don't really see why they'd do that. Sales volumes have been good until only recently.

There is some BS going on over at C-Coupe bout that. One guy who works at a dealer has been running over at the mouth about it. Its one persons opinion right now. Its silly really.

The oversupply problem right now seems to be something MB created on purpose to float the inventory so they could ramp up the sedan production. They expect to bleed that down.

At current sales levels, the car will still sell something like 11,000 units for the year. That's more than enough considering orginal expectations were 8000 or so. With 160,000 units sold world wide since model launch less than two years ago, it would be foolish to stop building it....any talk of the C-Coupe demise is pure bull**** at this point.

just to meet the CAFE standards alone, MB would sell this car at a loss if they had to.

I'm not sure that as a German company if MB has to meet CAFE standards.

To sell in the US of course they do. As a company they may not have to, but on what is imported to the US, it would only make sense... if not the domestic manufacturers would be crying foul a long time ago.
