how many resonators does a w203 have and has any body removed them and if so what do u think of the sound afterwards

Here is an image of your exhaust system. The red box is the resonator. Once removed it will make a small difference in sound. Nothing huge but it will be noticeable.

It's the one in the first top pic. The one that has those wires (the o2 sensors).

any performance enhancement removing resonator and/or cats? I don't have smog tests where I live, so I'm considering cutting them out if/when I have any trouble with them.

straight pipe it from the secondary cats... it would sound !!! sadly there will be no performance gain... but it will have better pull in high rpm and less pull in low rpm...
