13 Jeep JKU Sahara w/4" lift Kit & the works,2015 Toyota Sienna XLE,2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid
I ordered 2 of those thing's after I had the seal leak issue on my 2007 4matic got is fixed under warrenty and they will honor it even if it is out of the warrenty cause they know it is a knowen issue.......but to the OP's question, buy a 2007 4matic, all the issues are sorted out in this year model and they are very close to the revised model the 2008 C300....beside the look and some interior modification they are the same.........I am really happy with my pruchase and would highly recommend a 2007 4matic I have a C280 BTW........just averaged 27mpg on my last tank with tires inflated at 38psi and still on the OEM 16"......absolutely loving it

I think he means the 3.0L M272 engine is the same. The rest, however..

Lets be clear here, other than the 3.0L M272 engine, the 2007 C280 4-matic and 2008 C300 4-matic share very little. The ENTIRE CHASSIS is different, electronics are different, brakes, suspension, transmission are all different. Yes the w204 is an evolution of the w203 chassis, but the statement above is misleading at best. I'm not saying that the w203 or the w204 is superior, just stating that there were significant changes made.

Early cars suffered Valeo radiator leaks into the transmission. These were replaced with Behr radiators. Your intended MYs are well out of this period. By 2003 Valeo were a thing of the past.

Unfortunately, there are still quite a few original owners of Mercedes with defective Valeo Radiators which are now failing as Mercedes apparently knew they would 4 or more years ago. The radiator replacement itself is not that expensive, but the blatant failure of Mercedes to notify owners of the defective radiators will cost approximately $3,300 to fix a radiator problem. At this time, MBUSA is REFUSING to accept any of the repair/service costs due to its failure to inform its owners. I suspect it would hurt MBUSA's reputation.

I am looking for as many people as possible who have had VALEO radiator failures to build a case against MBUSA. This has become a personal issue for me and I have every intention of letting MBUSA know how I feel - but I'd rather let them know how I feel through a class action lawsuit.

Yes - we were lucky in SA. Behr have a radiator plant here to supply the East London factory & the US. We never had any Valeo radiators fitted to SA production.

MB is clearly not above outsourcing when need be.
Imagine my surprise upon unscrewing OE NGK IRF6D10 plugs.

Inexpensive South African Behr replacement radiator seldom allows anti-freeze temperatures beyond 90° Celsius - even when getting after it.
A damn sight less costly than premature transmission replacement owing to a faulty Valeo.
