DIY: Pre-Facelift with Bose System to 2005+ Console Swap with Comand (56k will melt)
Where did you get the center console face plates? It's nice, carbon fiber finish.
How do you connect this setup to your steering controls? Does it work with the command?

Part numbers on the various heating control units is also very handy

thank you

To answer the question above me, The facelift controls will not fit into the c32 or Preface lifted car with out a new bracket, However the A/C controls even though they don't fit, can be powered up to see if they work (The connections are the same for both years)
As for the update, I finally got around to purchasing a Digital Climate control system. I rarely drive this car, so its been a 1 1/2 years before I got around to touching the Comand/Climate system again. I found out some interesting things about the digital system though.
I am using this unit P/N: A203 830 44 85
What I found out is that this unit will work with all C32's regardless of the years (Tried it on 4 others different years works fine) I figure out that why some times these digital climate control systems don't work on other w203's is because they are missing the Dual Climate Vent controls (Not the Temp) All C32's have this (In the States, at least)
When I first did this project I used the standard A/c Control on the Face lifted models, however only the driver side vents functioned.... which was fine then since I hardly drive.
This project is now 95% done, If I ever want it at 100%, I will need to change out the Steering wheel and Gauge Cluster to the Face lifted models.
Pics for now.

The old one on the left which I had installed when I started this project, New one on the right

The controls, will function upto the limitations of the hardware within the vehicle, the actuators and vent system if isolated at build time because of the options selected will function, otherwise you will not be able to control the flow as per the digital display... if you had digital in the first place, it is likely that you have this split system for air flow management.
It is also not an easy retro fit from what i have read.
This however, does appear to be his YouTube feed/user videos, perhaps something in there will be useful ?
