passenger window switch stopped working

any ideas on what the problem could be? the 3 other windows work fine, but i cant open the passenger window. i tried from the driver's and passenger switches, but the window wont go down. it makes the click noise and the electrical dims just the same as all the other windows, but it doesnt move. window regulator?

Window motor, window regulator, regulator setting. Regulators can be set for different stall torque for safety reasons

what's my best course of action in pinpointing the faulty part? would STAR tell me anything?

Ah! so the regulator was kicking out.

perhaps. i suspect that water from the melting snow accumulated around the window edge, which later froze during the night as temps plummeted.

everything is fine now.

If the window jammed the regulator would kick out. My car had a slightly sticky driver's window new. They wound up the torque for the first 6 months then took it back to default once the window had loosened up a little in the guides. Perfect since. It's a good safety precaution if kids get hands stuck or whatever. The motors are powerful little suckers & need a cut out should the window freeze in place or trap something.
