They must have a bunch of engineers running around in the factory playing duck duck goose with the cars. All of these tiny differences in programming between random models drives me crazy. The last time this came up it was about the "low coolant level" warning, which apparently comes up on certain US models when the wiper fluid is low! On others you get the proper wiper fluid warning...
my car is correct lol i must have gotten one of the best pre 05 models i am so lucky and the car was delivered to its first owner on my b day back in 2001 i was 11 lol.
My driver side mirror heats automatically, turning on the defroster does nothing. My passenger side one.. well.. RIP - I never intend to get that repaired.
My car has been showing this warning message since I cam back to the cold Cleveland weather. When I was in Florida it showed up only on the coldest days. The seat will not work until i drive the car for a significant time. Does anyone know what this means?
Had the same problem in my 98 C230 with the seats but I don't have the luxury of the graphical display, maybe worth checking out.
There's a relay under a large plastic panel at the back of the trunk, this provides power to 4 25A fuses in the trunk fuse panel (10,11,12 & 13 if memory serves correct). Check both sides of these fuses to ground with a multimeter for 12 volts. Mine was dead.
I cured mine, opened up the relay and there was one bad solder joint on the printed circuit board, resoldered it and all is well.
Hope this helps
