The Meg's 105/205 combo is teh new hotness and it works incredible (even with a PC!). My car was bad when I got it and since it sat on the lot for 2 months there were some real nice rain spots I couldn't get off. Got 85% of it corrected, I was amazed. Just used 105 on a orange pad using the KB method (I think that's what its called, basically high speed with extra pressure). Then followed that with 205 on a polishing pad and Clearkote Vanilla Moose. Here's what it looked like right after I was done (this is the only handy picture right now):

thanks man!
it's a loooong process, lol.
here's the short:
washed with Adam's Carwash, clay bar using Meguiar's clay, polish using a d/a polisher and Meguiar's Speed Glaze and then 2 coats of Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Wax.
then, wait a week (in which it got rained on), wash again using Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax and then finish off using Optimum Spray Wax.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
here's another pic that shows the shine:

haha, thanks for the recommendation John! Optimum No-rinse looks great, but I'm still kinda worried about using that, I guess I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to that...

I was VERY hesitant on using it too. I had some for almost a year before I first used it. Check out the Autopia Forum and the praises for No-rinse are staggering. What pushed me over the edge was the winter here in the NW. It got to the point that my car was so dirty and the weather was so crappy, I figured using No-Rinse to keep it clean outweighed just not washing it period. Once I used it a few times, I was sold. I rarely wash conventionally now.

06 C230 6 Speed FTW
Just put the tape on each row and then cut with a razor blade. Still holding up. I don't drive it that often so works for now till I buy one.

AH! You fooled me! Your grill inserts are black stock.. mine are grey. I was like.. wow, you wrapped everything in electrical tape without overlapping? Haha.. Just the chrome, I see.

This is the car when I purchased it. 25,000 miles.

This is at about 65,000 miles. It's aging very gracefully. No recent pics, but it looks the same at 83,200 miles. I love it.
And for giggles:

This was 2007. My 2007 Civic Si Sedan/Nav on the right (traded for the C230 on 7/19/2008). My (now ex)boyfriend's Japan-built 1998 Camry, which still stands as probably the best car I've ever known. We loved the Camry far more than the Si, far more, in fact, than I can muster for even the Benz. I was pleased to learn a few months ago that it was retired into indefinite storage (never to be sold) after 200,000+ miles without a failure of any component, electrical or mechanical, big or small. It was the very definition of reliability and will probably forever be the stick by which all my cars are measured. I also am pretty sure I miss that old Camry more than I miss its owner.
