I'll go on ebay for the side markers - but about the flat badge - I haven't even looked on ebay for it, I was referring to the ones that are sold on this forum (Goes for $120 shipped, I believe)? Here's the link https://mbworld.org/forums/4306236-post32.html

The thing is I want something legit, not some cheapo stuff that will fall apart after 6 months.

@OneOfAKindTrini: What do you mean by the car is 4matic so don't go 'stag. fitment'?

Thanks a lot fellas.
I've had my badge for a while and it's been through all kinda of weather. Blazing sun, rain, snow everything and it's still looking great. And since your car is 4Matic you cannot run a very different tire size known as staggered fitment because since it will show different size wheels spinning at different speeds it'll show up as wheelspin. So if you are putting on rims put like 235 245's all around and run spacers to get the "hellaflush" look down.

Got it - really appreciate the advice man.

The rims are kind of the last thing on my mind right now until at least Spring arrives (I live in NE so harsh winters).

As for the badge, I'll take your word for it.

I just don't understand why this guy on the forum is selling it for over $100 when it can be bought at formymercedes.com for $30

Last thing - the side markers, I found 3 different types on eBay that I like. What do you think is my best bet?

The first one is my favorite:

you run 4matic (all wheels drive), I believe staggering you wheels (rear being wider than the fronts) can mess up some of the components on your pricey wheel drive system. Most people are scared to even try.

I hear ya...clearly going to have to do some searching around/studying - I'm not even going to attempt new rims until after this winter. Got plenty of time till then to do my research and make sure I get the right combo.

For now my only focus is getting the right badge, the right side markers, and those city lights!

Gonna do some searching right now to see what others have done to their C240's.

I have the first one. And the badge from the forum is some kind of limited number run of some kind.

Contrast is good brother. You really need a nice set of... just plain silver wheels would work, chrome, whatever. Something to bring it back down to earth.

I did the same thing when I was 16-17. Wanted to do things just bc I could. It ended up translating into rice. I hate to say it, but you're almost there, and its bc of those damn wheels!

but in the end.

to each his own.

enjoy if you like and ill keep my mouth shut.
i actually agree with you. i dont like the wheels that much anymore. once i got the rest of the body and exhaust work done, i think its all just too much. im selling them and will be purchasing some AMG's to paint black. i would go chrome to tone it down, but i personally absolutely hate chrome.

Or go with a time attack color. Black rim and red lip.

i don't understand where the misconception about this came from...

staggered tires are perfectly fine on 4-matics. all the 204 and 212 4-matics comes with staggered rims and tires setup.

as long as the rolling diameter of the tires are the same within 3% of each other. this is true in any rwd, awd, and fwd.

the only reason that people don't run staggered setup is that many of the AWD system on the market are either front bias or 50/50 power distribution, so there is no point for a wider rear tire. however nowaday MB, BMW, and even Audi are starting to have a rear biased awd system in normal driving condition.

i mean p-car has been doing staggered setup forever since the 993 in mid-90's. even Lambo with the Diablo SV.

but if you ask me tho I would prefer non-staggered setup on awd cars (not supercars mentioned above of course) because it actually balance out the handling. a lot of C32/55 actually tracks with non-staggered tires too because it helps reduce understeer.

Your car will look even harder with Euro Impact Strips and DEPO headlights. Once you get the time attach wheels then it'll be really sick!!! Keep it up

The DEPO headlights will give it a meaner face

Can't wait to see it. Gary@Suvneer use to sell the Euro Impact strips for 50 bucks shipped. I got mine 4 months ago (maybe more) but never had time to get them painted.

Question becuase I'm rather new to this. The chrome lips can be painted white ? And if so , what white, the cars matching color?

Also , by rails do you mean the front side markers ?
