My compressor was out when I bought my 03 c230k coupe 6speed. I ordered a rebuilt off brand kit off Amazon for $170. My mechanic charged me $186 to install it and it has blown ice cold for going on 4 Bama summers now. My mechanic usually only installs oem parts but he made an exception since the compressors that came in these suck worse than any aftermarket compressor I could find.

QUOTE=alexstaar;8657981]Drove my 2003 C230 Kompressor with 310,000 miles across the USA from New Jersey to Montana and back on a road trip. I had it detailed inside and out right before the trip. I snapped a few pictures of it at Devils Tower, WY and Badlands National Park, SD. I hit the 310,000 mile mark AND the half a million km mark while on the trip! Now that I've returned home, just 7,000 miles to go until the next high mileage award
The trip did not come without issues though. The AC compressor seized near Billings, MT, and I had to get it towed to the dealership there. I believe the one I had installed by Firestone (a US auto repair and tire chain), which also left me stranded about 3 years ago, was just a cheap reman or aftermarket part. The engine idles much quieter now than it used to with the Firestone replacement.
A couple little bumps and bruises but the best all-around vehicle Ive every had. Shared the garage with many cars over the years, S Class, BMW 7s & 3s, Range Rovers, a Porsche, and a couple others I dont remember. They have all come and gone while this little diamond was always on standby. Dont think I could ever part with this w203.

Added this grill and blacked out lighted red star today also bought a fuse adapter to make getting power easy. I don't think it took a hour total. Anyone need a perfectly stock grill just pay shipping it's yours.
Damn I should have washed my car before taking these pictures
The car of my dreams finally got delivered to me. With only 32,000 miles. C230 Kompresor 1.8 supercharged super sports. We are at 235,000 miles. About to be redone completely.
