for some weird reason it didn't match my car well.

The closest match I got for the mag blue was Toyota's Dark Blue Pearl (8P4).

I first tried it out with duplicolor paint (black primer first turned out great). Then I took it to be done at a shop. I compared them and they turned out similar.

So if your going to paint them yourslef use black primer. If your going to get them coated then no worries it'll turn out fine.

New tire, replace shocks and alignment and we're done. Bushings were all done.

Hey what do you recommend on a drop? I can't afford coil overs right now and since I have renntech shocks I was thinking of getting lowering springs and dropping the car. Do you think if I cut 1 coil on the front I should be good? I kind of like the rear and if it's anything lower I'll rub.

What do you think? 1 coil in front should bring the car lower?

Thanks

Xhale, they are actually 18's, maybe the picture angle makes the lip looks bigger? i dunno...

Karo that satin black looks awesome, can't wait to see some pics when it's on the car!

Cutting 1 coil will be good. Just remember to get some paint and paint over the cut end so it wont rust. But the Renntech shocks might lower your car already since its built for lowering springs I believe, kind of like Konis are. I'd install the struts first and see if it lowers the car some but if it doesnt then I'd say 1 coil will be good, 2 will be too much.

the renntechs lowered my rear quite a bit, but it didn't seem to affect the drop in the front but you already have sport suspension so I'm not sure if it will affect your car the same karo.

Karo are you planning on cutting stock springs or cutting after market ones?

A lot of people cut 1 Spring off after market springs to give them that coil over look.

If your going to cut stock springs i would still only cut 1 coil. It dropped my car from a four and half finger gap to a perfect 3 finger gap. & that was just cutting one coil.

Cutting two gave me a 1 finger gap in the front. But car is unstable at high speeds.

Thanks for the comments guys. Thanks for the tips Phister and Xhale.

I'm most likely not going to touch the stock springs. Planning on getting springs but can't decide on Tein or H&R.

Hector, I didn't converts them bro. I just painted them. I'm sure the paint might come off when I tighten the bolts

I'd go with H&R Karo. Since you already have the sport springs the teins will only lower your car 0.5". Plus the spring rate on the teins are softer than the ss. But just see if it drops when you put your struts on first then decide if you want springs, that's what I'd do.

+1 on the H&R's, I just got H&R Coilovers, I love how they feel.. although you just want the springs.. I still think H&R is the bizness!!!

speaking of which, here are some recent pix (they are in my thread of my evolution) of my car with the H&R coilovers.. gonna head back to HMS and get the front dropped a tad more! I dont want no gap!!!
