That looks really yellow for everest green. With the reflection, the side of the car looks very yellow. I never would have guessed that it is everest green. Actually, I'm still not totally convinced.

 

Matt, can you think of a single reason why the owner would want to portray the car as green when it was really yellow? Would there be some incentive to breach the truth of the true color of the car?

I, for one, do not follow your implication.

The car looks green to me and the yellow-appearing shading is simply due to the reflecting light and angle. If the car really was partially yellow on that spot of the car, the car would have one heck of a sunburst paint job and would of course be the result of aftermarket custom paint work, not an E-Class sharing hue.

That's how I see it anyway.

 

I'm not calling him a liar or anything. I'm just wondering what the hell is causing that much of a yellow look. I have seen Everest green before (it is a C-class color as well), and I have never seen it have even a hint of yellow. Also, with him being in some country other than the US (possibly Kuwait ), it could always be something other than the Everest green we have here in the US.

 

COuld it possibly be the fact that he used the wrong settings while taking a picture in DIRECT SUNLIGHT? Man, get over it.....The car if friggin' Green already..... If is a CLK, Everest green is an available color. If it is a C-CLass, how did you get the color? It is not an available option for C-Class...

well, till this moment I thought I'm the only one with that color on a coupe! I've never seen a coupe with that color and I don't think MB make them in that color.
I've changed its color after an accident I had in early 2002. As you can see there is no parktronic in this picture either, which is something I used to have. I thought It would be special if I had it painted that way

The accident hit the front side, the right head light and every thing on the right was a wreck. and as I tried to avoid that car I scratched my right side too. which made me repaint the hood, front bumper and whole right side.

 

oh that sucks, i woulda put aftermarket parts on after the original ones were messed up though. woulda been cool if you painted it speed yellow!

 

It's not available on the coupe, but it is available on the sedan and wagon. Since your car was not painted that way from the factory, it's possible that your color is different than the Everest Green in the US. Does the car look yellow at all, or was that only in the picture? If there's no yellow, then it could be the same Everest.

 

okay pic update of my ride, she's 1+ yr old now. This pic was taken about 3 months ago but really nothing has changed exterior wise.

 

The car finally arrived on 12/30/03. Had the wheels and tires put on the following day along with the clear side markers. 19" staggered Ace Alloy Brabus V replicas on Dunlop SP9000. I hope the MODs fix the 1k upload restriction soon.






Yes...that is snow you see. It was VERY unsual to see 4" of snow in Vegas. Usually it melts as soon as it hits the ground.

mj50: They are the Ebay ones. They come with amber bulbs and I just "dusted" them with some silver paint for a homemade Silvervision effect.
