Good eye, I didn't notice that.
Smells like an insurance job for sure. Jacked some parts interior which are expensive. Replaced wheels with stupid wheels, jacked some exterior parts BUT they happened to do all this without breaking a window? HMMMM I wonder how they did all this. Maybe it was Harry Houdini
After doing all this they banged some the body too, then called insurance company filed a claim. The adjuster came and salvaged it. They bought it back and are trying to make some money off of it.
Don't believe the SALVAGE title bull shyt. You know how many flood damaged cars they brought over from New Orleans and got new titles for and sold them AS CLEAN TITLE??
NO WAY THIS CAR IS A CLEAN TITLE. BY LOOKING AT IT THE CAR CAN BE SALVAGED SO WHY THE HELL WON'T THE OWNER REPORT TO INSURANCE COMPANY AND GET THE BLUE BOOK?

Karo, the original owner of the car is not the person who currently has it. It's at an auto wrecking service, see my previous post. This is clearly an insurance write-off.
I was only trying to prevent someone from making a costly mistake. I'm not sure where the OP thinks I get my info from, but I've learned a great deal about the W203 in my tenure here - and have studied cars my entire life. Having scrapped with State Farm on many occasions, I'm also aware of how this damaged-beyond-expected-value stuff works. If fixing that car had been financially responsible, the insurance company would not have decided to write it off.
But you know, if he wants to buy it, it'll be his problem. I've had my say and did my best to help him avoid it. It's not wise, but oh well.

I appreciate all of your feedback, but damn LILBENZ you dont have to be all rude and pissy about it like im arguing with you or something! I honestly dont agree with you. You are not looking at the good of this car. 2007, 17k miles, CLEAN TITLE, clean exterior, no dents, scratches, damages. Yea ok its missing some interior parts but im not "delusional" like you say. I have past knowledge of dealing with these types of cars and I know they are not cheap to work with but I have found the marjority of the parts. The nav being the priciest ($1500 on ebay) Im going to look at the car tomorrow, trying to drive it considering it doesnt have a drivers seat. Im going to switch, turn and push EVERY eletrical device in that car. If i feel that to much is gone from the interior then I know how to say no. Considering the price I may buy it because I have $3000 to try and piece that back together.

Wow I honestly cant beleive what kind of feedback im getting from you people on this forum! From 3 pics you guys came to this conclusion? You people dont know the first things about this car besides what the pictures depict. Is this my first car? LOL no I buy and sale BMW's and i happen to come across this car and thought "hmmm ill check it out and do my research before I EVEN GO LOOK AT IT" I dont need you people who think they know it all criticize me because im curious about how much work this car will take? Did i say i've already made a deal with the owner? The car has a clean title, low miles, and a decent year. Im not going to make an impulsive buy especially on a car in this condition. Hey guys i'm also a college student and i'm thinking of buying this Ferrari. I want to flip it and make some cash. I know the roof is damaged but I was thinking of just chopping it off and making a convertible. I know the fender is kind of messed up but I was thinking of bondoing the fender. The most important thing is it's not a SALVAGE title. The good news about this car is the seller says he will throw in the tree for free. SO maybe I can sell the tree which will pay for the repairs. What do you guys think?

That 'parts list' I gave you is just the few things that are obvious from the pic and it is obscenely oversimplified and partial. Trust me, I didn't really do any work for you compared to what you would have to do in order to restore this car. Get it through your head - it is not doable under your circumstances and even if it were, it is certainly not worth that price! It's hard enough to buy one of these cars and not find nasty surprises when it is in GOOD SHAPE.
If you don't believe us than maybe buying it will teach you a valuable lesson.

What do you think if I don't repair the roof and just chop it off and make it into a convertible (roadster)? The seats are completely missing, this would lead to SRS errors. You have to have 2007 seats with headrests because they are different than all other years. The car's dead, man. It should be sold FOR parts, not sold to someone who intends to piece in back together and try to flip it for a profit. Do you really think $8,500 plus repairs and then you're gonna sell a car like this for how much again? The resale value has already dropped significantly just from age. No one is going to buy this car with this past, and unless everything is perfect (and it won't be, trust me) you're not gonna pull one over on someone.
As I said, forget it. This one is a salvage, regardless of what Carfax says. Do you have the VIN? I can run an autocheck for you. Move on. Buy a 2005 with more miles, they look the same and go for pretty cheap nowadays.

Infantry, your estimate of $10,000 in parts is probably not out of the realm of possibilities. The car is in sad shape. It's not just big components. It's tons of little things to make it all work again that will be very difficult even with large cash reserves, and all but impossible with a small budget. $11,500 (8500 + 3000) buys a nice used car.

Millions of people buy salvage cars that have been hit by a Mack ****ing truck at 80 mph, peice it back together and sale/ drive it. This car is missing interior parts and can ALL BE PUT BACK TOGETHER.
