Getting rid of Sidemarker Message

long story short, i recently change to euro impact strips and now i have a annoying warning message for both left and right sidemarkers.

is there any way to get rid of the message? or the only option is to put bulbs and tuck the wires away somewhere safe?

thanks

Your only other option is to use a resistor in place of the bulb which will consume the same amount of power as the bulb...might as well just leave the bulb in and tuck it away.

ah i see thanks. the reason is because i was involve in a accident and one of my impact strip was ripped off along with the sidemarker. so i just went with euro strips.

i'm not sure if the wire itself have any major damage but there is no light bulb. the shop that i took my car too to put on a new bumper they went and took off the other sidemarker.. so i'm guessing i'll have to buy two bulbs

LOL..that sucks...buying new bulbs just to hide them away!

Yeh you need to buy two W5W bulbs. They're 5W each or you can get 2.4 ohm (or higher) 7W (or higher) resistors. If you use resistors, remember to heat shrink them as they can generate quite a bit of heat and mount them using thermal conductive paste on some metal part of your car.

i've heard people just wrapping the bulbs in aluminum foil. i'm thinking of doing it actually and getting my side markers painted.

yeah, quite a few people, including myself have done it.

not only does it completely cover up the light, but it holds in and dissipates some of the heat so that your bumper doesn't get burned.
