Were you going 70 the whole time? On the way to Vegas I will get worse miles, at night when you see Nevada Landing the foot kind of gets heavier

Oh yah, we hit traffic on the 15 near the 138... IT SUCKED! Then I had to dodge lame night drivers all the way there.... I agree with the foot getting heavier after Nevada Landing but I HATE the road noise there.

Sadly, no. on the bright side, I only lost 20$...
On the even brighter side, we're going to Santa Barbara this weekend. There will be photos or at least some random video lol

Thisis my average for the last 13xxx miles:

This is about 50/50 city & highway, and there are alot of hills in SC and YL. 85% i drive like a grandpa, shifts around 2k RPM and always on cruise at the speed limit, the other 15% of the time is either above 90 or 4500 RPM

I do the drive from Yorba Linda to San Clemente and vice versa, 2-3 times a week, which is about 45 miles and i usually get 30-31 mpg whether i go 69 the whole time or 80.

I have gotten 39 mpg before from my car in a 60 mile trip going 68 the whole way

16.7 mpg? Would you believe 7.3 in heavy traffic and 13 on the highway...

Well ... I don't have a monster engine on my Benz but still:

That translates to roughly 43mpg ...
only 3rd of that was on a flat road.

Just going to work these days, I've seen my average hit between 13 and 15 mpg as I sit on the 210 on the way home. That's pretty sad. Haven't seen that kind of mileage since the SL

Ohh, you meant about the mileage. Yeah this was a pretty good result for a trip that wasn't exclusively highway (but mostly). I realized the other day that I think it is terrible anytime the average fuel economy in my car is below 26 because that's the range it usually stays in.

Yeah the M271 gets great fuel economy.. one of my favorite things about it. I'm freaked out if my average fuel economy figure is ever below 25.

I reset mine every oil change, and I look at the "Since Start" screen for my daily. Here is my almost 11k average...

Not bad, not great. I can hardly wait to start working in civilization again...

That's not bad at all for a 2.5L V6, Mike. I expected more like timmyndaddysbenz results of about 22mpg average for that V6.

You drive a lot! Didn't you just get this 07 model? I've only driven 945 miles this month in my 05, down from its usual 2700-3000 average.

If you drive not spiritedly I believe you will get better gas mileage with FI cars. But if you start pounding it then you'll get worse gas mileage.

If I you drove the M272 and M271 the M271 would win. But if I drove the M271 and M272 I think the M272 would win
