Dude Karo, There is one around Pomona where i go and i believe i payed $3.35 a gal? I just remember it being almost a dollar off a gallon but man, the gas mileage sucks bad on E85.. i drove hard one day and got down to 14.6 MPG before

Yo and my bad I couldn't make it to the meet, Had to go to a viewing for a close friends father =(

What's the point of it? Better for the environment? I know the guys boosting love it because they can run higher boost

Sucks man, my condolences to your friend and his family.
There is a difference when i run E85. It is much faster than running 91 even though we are not boosted. Because of the Flex Fuel i believe the car knows when i put in E85 and adjusts itself to use that fuel. I tested this out by racing my lil brothers scion tc from a dig. My car pulled much faster on E85 than the 91 did. But if E85 was more common around So.Cal or lived closer to one, i would love to tune it with E85 and see how much HP increase I will get.

You drive a lot! Didn't you just get this 07 model? I've only driven 945 miles this month in my 05, down from its usual 2700-3000 average.
Yeah, this is the one I just got, but I have the commute from HELL right now. Believe it or not, it was about 2mpg better before I got my tune, and spent a week flooring it every chance i got I'm fine with it, definitely not going to impress the Prius club, but then again they don't impress me either.

dude that's almost a tank of gas per day, lol

i used to get 31 mpg highway before i put the bigger wheels on and ecu tuned it, now i think i get like 28-29, i guess i'll find out on my way to williamsburg this afternoon!

hey i was gonna ask, can the 2006 c230's run on e85? and if they can, do i have to ecu tune it for that fuel type? it's tuned for 93 octane right now...

Open your gas lid and see if it has this. "Premium Gas or E85 Only"
