So after some hunting around and per Rollin's recommendation, i found one for dirt cheap in almost new condition. Also got the Thule snowboard/ski rack. Questioning how close it sits to the windshield. Otherwise this is mint!

is that to the company's recommendation for the w203. Its looks about right, my bracket is 9" from the base of the mounting bracket to the windshield.

Well they have these triangles on the inside of the door. Rolland confirmed that the towers show sit between them. The front sits ok in the front door, however i played around with the rear one, and it seems to find a better contouring fit after the last triangle...so i am thinking maybe if i move the front towers past the last triagle, closer to the rear, it might find a better fit. Now i tried that fairing that i got, Yakima, and first of all it doesnt fit on the bar ( round vs oval) neither do i want to retrofit the brackets. I looked around MB site and couldnt pin point MB OEM fairing...any ideas?

Thats because the rack was made for my car

Yeah for 23 dollars i couldn't go wrong. I couldn't stand the little hole. I do miss driving around and looking down at the star on the hood.

here's a pic with my bike attached. These are the MB racks. The parts that touch the paint are rubber.. takes about 15 mins to take on and off.

Let me know if you want to see close up pics, i can take some tomorrow, i might be putting them on if it doesnt rain.
I was wondering what kinda rims you got on there?? Looking to buy some for my car and those are fire!
