This is incorrect information that has nothing to do with what you quoted from Glyn. The chances of hydroplaning in a 4Matic are equal, what you said is incorrect. It's okay to be wrong - learning new things is good. But Glyn's post had to do with recovering a car that was hydroplaning, and that tip was something even experienced drivers have a problem with. I believe it was you that showed up to a meet in dad's car? That doesn't speak of someone with much driving experience. Maybe you stayed in a Holiday Inn last night or something. I forgot that you have that "I have experienced it, thus it is absolute fact" attitude.
Its funny too how in your "real world", driving somebody else's car = lack of driving experience, as if driving somebody else's car has ANYTHING to do with driving ability. Idk what world your in, but here in he real world it generally takes more ability and experience to control the power in the CLS' V8 than the C's I4/V6.
And dgaf if you think its dumb to show up in my dad's car, I like it, everybody at the meet liked it, many people requested that I bring it, and you can saw whatever you'd like about driving experience but the bottom line is I like driving my dads $150,000 Benz over my $38,000 C class
as for you,
I have looked through your posts and i noticed that mostly all you like to do on this forum is argue with people and cause drama.
GET A LIFE.
I think I've wasted enough time off topic now, and using this thread to continue arguing, so this time im sticking to my word when i say I'm no longer going to reply to useless posts that dont directly have to do with the OP's question. Since you get off on arguing and wasting time, your welcome to PM me but don't expect a reply.

$150k for the CLS? wth...better be a CLS63 lol 230's not $38000 btw, more like $30k when they were new. I'm just poking fun at you...LOL
however there's one thing you just said that is incorrect. the cylinder count of a car does not make one more/less easier to drive or control in any situation. The older generation Porsches like the 993/964/911 etc are ***** to drive when the nose get lighter with less fuel in it.

I have the printout for my car though, it was 38k brand new
And im sorry, i didn't mean the cylinder count necessarily makes it harder to drive, i mean the more power in the V8 as opposed to the power in the I4K and V6

I didn't think you could get your license at 13. I guess that's just his level.
As a final word to Nathan Diamond who didn't intend for this to happen:
You won't change the likelihood of hydroplaning based on which wheels are driving the car. Make sure you keep good tires and drive sensibly in inclement weather and you'll be just fine.

4Matic system question...
I realize some of you will say this is off topic but, it's my thread so tough. I now have more than enough answers to my hydroplaning question thanks to all of you so to spare the annoyance of creating a whole new thread I will ask this question here. Does the 4Matic system's diffs bind when you turn the wheel until the steering locks?

True, but in Audi cars I've driven I have felt binding with the steering wheel locked to one side and their awd system has been around for fifty years.
