window auto up broke

window auto up broke
Both of my front windows' auto up function does not work anymore. Auto down works.

The second click is still there but they don't go all the way up by themselves anymore.

Any suggestion?

I drive a Toyota Hybrid...
broke as in.. it drop back down when its rolling up half way or it just won't do auto up anymore?

It does not do auto up anymore (both fronts only).

It's wierd that both have stopped working - did this happen at the same time? - likely the window controller in the door. May be the switch but I wonder.

So a couple of reboots might work. Maybe disconnecting the battery will fix it. Observe all cautions in the stickies & you will have to resynch things after that.

Mine will bounce back down occasionally if it is really cold out. I suspect the controller, too. Restarts seem to fix little glitches on these cars that come with their complex electrical systems.

resync the window switch. nothing wrong with the switch if it's not physically broken like one of my friend did to his.

I did resync when I found out about this problem while driving. I did not thought about restart.

I just went into the garage to resync and it worked. Everything is fine now.
