im planning to replace my stock battery, (c240 2004) with a yellow top optima battery(planning on putting a new sound system in). but i have searched the forums and i cant find the specs on the stock battery to help choose the right yellow top battery. which yellow top battery should i get that would fit?

here are specs on yellow tops:

You will not find an Optima battery that meets or exceeds all of the specs of the OEM battery. They do not make one. OEM battery FTW.

If your battery is bad, call roadside. You will be money ahead. They install the correct battery and reset the computers for only the price of the battery. If you go to the dealer, you will be charged for the installation labor too.

The Benz OEM battery is larger than those usually found in the aftermarket. Optima battries are OK for racing, but they are no better than the OEM battery. In your car every available Optima battery is undersized. Your sound system will be fine with the OEM battery.

Your sound system will absolutely be fine with the stock battery. Roadside is the way to go.

For those of you who called roadside, how much did it cost for the replacement?

cost of battery i think 145 for me. i gave the tech a nice tip though. so like 165 i think it is in a thread i made somewhere. but the tech spent like an hour answering other questions i had and was a really nice guy highly recommend it.
