Hi guys,

Yesterday when I was reversing my car from garage, I heard something weird from the back of the car (Not sure from the rear wheels or from the dift). It’s a clicking sound, but it’s only happened if I go reverse and release the brake pedal suddenly. Has anyone in this forum had the same problem like mine? I already went to MB, and they couldn't find the problem...

Thanks…

Just a single click when you release the brake? I have had this as long as I can remember with this car, but haven't worried about it. It's not very loud, and I can only hear it if my windows are down (I think).

Yes just a single click.. I still can hear it with the windows close, but sound louder with the windows down... I am just scared if that's my dift cross joint... anyway, thanks for the reply..

Mine has done this since new. Verified by 2 dealers as normal. I don't particularly like it, but don't think it is a problem.

Mine does this too. Even replaced with Mercedes pads at the rear, still does it.

Sometimes the pads catch against the discs, making a clicking noise. Nothing to worry about. I once had the same problem after a pad change. Went away after a while.
