2003 Mercedes C320 Sport Sedan
Help me understand my new car!

I recently purchased a 2003 Mercedes C320 Sport Sedan. unfortunately, the seller did not have the owner's handbook...i know...crazy. Anyways, theres a lot of stuff i'm still trying to get the hang of. Does anyone know where I can purchase a handbook for this model?

I have a couple of questions, if you guys don't mind helping me out.

Firstly, could you tell me what the circled buttons do? I have absolutely no idea..haha.

What exactly do these circled buttons do? I've heard about the ESP being electronic stability control, but what exactly is that? is it already on, is that button just for turning it off? The seller told me that apparently when I hit that button it makes the car able to travel at faster speeds? or something along those lines?

Also, I have no idea how to work the AC. Can anyone just sum it up for me? I know how to turn the temps up and down and so on, but what do all those buttons on the bottom do? and How do I turn it completely off, I couldn't figure that out.

What about all these different options for the light control? (sorry about the bad quality, it's kind of dark in my garage.

What do these buttons on the rearview do?

With the CD player, for some reason its missing the thing that goes inside. When I hit CD onmy radio, it says "No magazine." Does anyone have any idea where I can get a magazine? Thanks

Also, the door handle on the back right door is somewhat messed up. For some reason it doesn't return to the original position. It stays popped out. It won't pop back in either. If I unlock all the doors, it won't open until I unlock it from the inside by opening it from the inner door, as the inner lock thing is also broken (shown in the second pic.) Anyone have any idea whether this is fixable and about how much it might cost me?

Finally, the driver inside door handle is broken off. Any idea how hard of a fix this is, and how much it costs? Thanks!

Thanks for the input everyone!!!

ESP is the traction control. It defaults to ON. If you press the button, it turns it "off" iiish. It dosen't truly disable all the way.

The headrest button lowers the rear headrests if they are in the up position.

The last circled button is the anti-tow feature. If your car is being towed, an alarm will sound. This button is to disable that if you ever need to tow the car.

As for the A/C - keep it on auto, set the temp, forget the rest.

The light controls are - straight up for off, right one click for auto, right two clicks for city lights only, right three clicks for headlights on. Pull one click for front fogs, pull two clicks for front and rear fogs. (please only use the front fogs)

Three buttons on the rear-view mirror are for homelink. They can be programmed to open/close your garage door opener.

Magazine is a standard Alpine 6-cd magazine. Amazon is your friend.

I would get someone to look at the door. Sounds like something was either really broken or tampered with.

The handle on the inside is relatively easy to fix if you're willing to be patient with the door panel. Remove door panel, there is 1 torx screw that you need to undo and replace the handle. Luckily, the handles are sold by MB, and are relatively inexpensive, about $50 if my memory is correct.

Good luck with the new car.

I HATE people that drive around and use thier rear fogs. On the facelifted cars it would be really difficult. The bulb in question is a dual filament 1157 bulb. Only one filament is used for the running lights. The second filament of one of the parking lights is used as the fog light. HID bulb would be excessive an un-necessary.

Lol, it was actually a really good deal. it needs a little work on cosmetics, but the engine and all that is in perfect condition with new brakes, new rotors, belts, etc.

Apparently, it wasn't a CPO Used car. Anyway, if you can't get a manual PDF, you can always ebay the originals. I have the 02 Coupe manual if you want to buy it. lol

2005 c230 S.S.
for the homelink if i remeber corectly
1. make sure igniton is on

2.press and hold the second and third button the light will start to flash after 10-15sec this resets all the buttons so you can relearn the codes

3.press and hold at the same time the open button on your garage door opener and the desired button you want to program on your homelink release the buttons when the light flashes fast.

4. you should be done press the button and see if it stays on for 2sec or so if not then you have to do the rolling code programing. im not sure how that works didnt have to do it but i can look it up in my manual if you need it
