I DONT WANT TO KILL MYSELF. lol
you dont need to convince me into a C55, i spent forever convincing myself out of one, drive the c350 for a year then get into a e550 or a c63

In my humble opinion, and having been in your shoes a few times, if you're only really wanting the C350 as a "transitional" vehicle till you grab an E class or C63, maybe you should consider just holding out until that's more realistic of an option? While you may be "shown" more for your C230 than what you owe, you will almost never win when trading a car. I only see two "real" benefits the C350 brings - 60ish HP and longer warranty. As Adidas mentioned, the lack of warranty through 2012 on your C230 is negligible as they're basically bulletproof, and if you're looking into an E or C63 in a year, who cares about 2012? In my opinion, the 60HP isn't worth the cost up front, additional gas, and the lack of all of the amenities you seem to enjoy so much. Your C230 looks fantastic and is personalized - it is a reflection of what you want(ed) in your car. You say you like the rarity factor the C350 entails, but which is rarer - YOUR unique C230 or a random C350? Honestly, I don't think you'd be nearly as happy with the new one and in the long haul, regret having thrown the additional money at it when it comes time for the E or C63 (or whatever direction you go at some eventual point).
Just my 2 cents. I hope your decision pleases you for miles to come!

when i said in a year, go for an even faster car, i was being more sarcastic, thats not my plan as of now. When i bought my current 203 though i only planned on having it 6 months to a year, then getting into something a bit more powerful (C350/E350).
I don't just view this a transitional vehicle, I view more as my next step up in power,
I really agree with you when you said that my C230 is a reflection of what i wanted in my car, and i do love it and my amenities, but one of the reasons im so seriously considering this C350 (usually i wouldnt think twice about one without Nav at least) is because the color, the biggest thing about my car cosmetically is the fact that its white and has xenons from the factory, the theme i want and love is based off of white, and this is the first white C350 sport i've found with the lighting package.
Plus I will be having them switch my euro impact stirps, rims, blacked out hood emblem, and h&r's onto the C350 which are really the biggest exterior mods/mods that i care about most.
What do you think?
Thanks for your reply, i appreciate it!!

I avg almost 20mpg with my C350 btw. it's pretty similar to the M272 C230 mpg.
if you can find a good deal on a 203 c350 you like I don't see why not as long as you can switch them parts. IF the C350 isn't overpriced that would cost not much less than C55's going rate.

That's not quite correct
2004.5-early build 2005 C230 = 4 piston calipers
late build 2005 - 2007 C230 = 2 piston calipers
C350 SS = 4 piston calipers.
On a side note, what the heck happened to people actually doing research on these forums. I guess that's what happens when I don't have time to be on here as often as before.

hmm i'll have to compare my brakes and the C350's when i go to the dealer tomorrow.
Well guys i decided I'm going to get the C350. I can live without the COMAND, and the sound system can be added no sweat. I cant just add that much power to my C230. So as much as i love my car, I'm going to move ahead to my next dream car, a white w203 C350 Sport!!!!
Thanks for all your guys help and suggestions!!

I didnt get the C350, its a long story, which i will get around to typing soon, but for me the service is very important, and since i really like but didnt LOVE the car like mine, i decided that in idiot, unprofessional salesman was enough to drive away from the dealer in my C230

Honestly, if you're going to upgrade, I don't think going to a 350 is that much of a change. If you like the way your car is, then I'd keep it over a C350.

sorry to hear about the bad experience... I totally feel you though. That's the same reason I didnt get a 2010 Audi A4 prestige and got a C300 instead. lol. Glad you're happy with the choice tho. It wasn't that much of an upgrade... Sure you get awesome points but just spend the difference modding your C230 lol.
