Cleaning questions
What products do you use and what is the best way to clean/restore:
1.Weather striping
2.The rubber on the sides of the windshield (thicker than normal weather striping, dont really know what to call it)
3.Hood emblem
4.steering wheel stitching (on the reverse of the steering wheel the threading)
5.Floor mats
6.Grill
Here are some pics of the dirt that I am trying to get off.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

For your floor mats, I would recommend 303 cleaner and spot remover, then follow up with 303 Aerospace protectant. 1Z Einszett Cockpit premium is my favorite interior cleaner by far. You can follow up with 1Z Einszett Lederpflege to condition and protect the leather on the steering wheel, shift boot, etc.

To restore the black strips on the windshield that carry up to the roof and on and around the windows, I use cleaner wax, mine had those blue oily looking spots and laquer thinner took the color off and then, claybar, then wax and they look great.
The emblem and grill you can use chrome/aluminum polish.
Steering wheel use a velour carpet cleaner since its just cloth string.
Also floor mats use simple green and elbow grease.
Good luck with the cleaning it comes out great I promise!
I had a 2002 land rover discovery and the weather striping around the windows started corroding, and every time I wiped the windows down the rag would become black where it touched the weather stripping.
I just don't want that to happen to my c280...similarly my friend 350z's weather stripping is starting to become more porous and looking and feeling gritty...is there any way you know of to stop this from happening? Or will regular cleaning prevent the wearing down and corroding of the weather stripping. I may not have explained it right, but I hope I did well enough of a job to warrant some one at attempting to help me

PS: is it weather stripping or a window gasket, a friend at school called it a window gasket??
