W203 Bad Radio Reception :(
My radio reception has gone bad in my car the FM and AM stations have static now 
((( I was cleaning the car and knocked the antenna of the back window, i glued it back on but my reception is bad now. However, I have been told by my mechanic that the antenna on the outside back window has nothing to do with the FM radio. I need help ppl :P

Possibly the rear SAM? 
From what I understand it is located under the headliner at the rear window. I have read here that MB wants to replace the glass and all as a repair, there are also post here indicating that it is available separately. Are the wireless functions on the Smart key still working from a distance? One of the symptoms is a greatly reduced range with the key as the antennae booster works for both the key functions & the radio reception.

you have a coupe or a 4 door? for a coupe the antenna is behind the top plastic piece under the hatch door.. its possible you got water in there and messed it up.. mine got water in there thanks to the tint i got.. but i repaired it.. didn't have to buy a new one
