So, I got my new wheels back from the powdercoater today...
They all look very good. One has a little bit of pitting around the center cap, and one has some flaking, but just on the top of the hoop (where the tire will be). All in all, I'm very happy. The guy was nice enough to stick with his $100/wheel price, even though the wheels took much more work than expected. I should be putting them on Friday, so I'll take pictures then.
I finally talked to my dad about the situation. He was a bit annoyed, but it's all good now. I told him that this was the solution to vibration I've been having (which it should be) and that the $850 in tires was the only cost of the new set, and that I'm selling for $600, so the $200 difference is about the price of the tread left on my current wheels. This seems to satisfy him, but now I have to give him the money I get from the wheels. All in all, not horrible.
EDIT: I guess I need new center caps, but I'm not sure where to get them. I was thinking of getting CF ones, but I don't know if that will look tacky. Anyone have any suggestions?

Wow... way to search! The wheels fit Matt's car so well, in a very familiar way.
