They should next test the C300 against the R350 and see which one does better. The laws of physics are pretty hard to defeat. I'm not sure why this should surpise anyone.

I'm sure the Smart would do much better than many 5-year-old and older cars. So I think for its size, it's a pretty safe car. I'm sure my 90 CRX would lose very scarily to one in the same test, for example.

Sheesh, there are no guarantees - sh*t happens. Following this logic, everyone should be driving Town Cars.

Hike up the skirts and drive whatever mix of fun/safety/economy works for you.
