I believe the official published spec from MB was 7.7s, and they are usually conservative. I'd say it's good for low to mid 7's, not quite 7flat.

It's also a whopping 400 POUNDS HEAVIER (416 actually)!!! I highly doubt that the extra 6 hp (and only 3 extra lb. ft. torque) is going to offset that massive extra weight. On top of that, there's no way Mercedes would make the sedan faster than the coupe.

2002 E320 will do 0-60 in about 7 Seconds. I have been in many W210's and have tested mine many times and the older it gets more time of 7.0-7.1 or 7.2 on a bad I keep seeing. Not a slow car when you think about. Look here as well. You will find the times to be very very similar. Maybe .1 second off each other.

There's no point in arguing over 0-60mph times. 0-60mph times are not a good indicator for quarter miles times. You can have a faster 0-60mph and still lose in a quarter mile race.

Correct very true. But I am just stating facts here I am personally not discussing 1/4 miles times. Not on a non AMG Benz at least.

0-60 is a awefull way to measure a cars speed, I mean who on earth can figure, hey that cars 7.8 second away so Ill have room? 1/4 mile maybe a good indicator but really anything higher then a 6 is slow, so pretty much all our cars are slow, oh well!

I measure on many factors. I mean is a C240 a slow car? Well theres more to it then its got a little motor with 170bhp. I mean I had a guy on the form tell me my E320 was a slow car.
Think of it like this. Seats 5 people in comfrot, 0-60 is in the 7 range, it gets 35mpg on the highway and has tons of room in the trunk for luggage. When you think of it. Its not really a slow car considering how it peformes with all I mention above.

Don't worry, you don't need one unless you do the rear mount turbo...

The rules for Gator Raceway are like that... I think if you run under a 14 you need a helmet, and under an 11 you need a roll cage!

These threads are always good for a chuckle!
And on a side note, you won't need to worry about a helmet in a C350 at a 1/4 strip. I've not seen anyone break into 13's in one stock.
Definitely share your times when you finally get to one!

Fontuckey is slippery with (typically) abysmal DA. Recently had to relinquish their NHRA certification due to avoidable deaths there. Swell road circuit through its infield though.
Irwindale’s 1/8th mile ‘strip hosts a go almost every Thursday evening. Good times, figuratively and literally. It’s a casual group of ne’er-do-wells – GF and family friendly. Won a few and lost a few, but didn’t hear anybody laughing about our little C. There’s a certain smug pleasure to be derived from having a opponent whom you’ve just soundly trounced approach you later in the staging lanes to ask, “What have you done to it?”

Its ~8.3 at 85 ≈ 12.9 at 111 through the quarter by oft-proven formulae. Yours should be considerably quicker.
