Experts of common sense

A couple of weeks ago a construction worker placed a traffic sign next to my car. The sign collapsed and scratched the back of my car.

The workman gave me the construction company number and told me to get a quote. I called MB Oakland and they recommended Brooks Body shop. I took the car to Brooks and sent the quote it to the construction company.

The construction company are now asking for another two quotes, but my local MB only recommend Brooks body shop.

I don't want the work done anywhere that is not authorized and I don't want the hassle of looking for a reputable body shop.

Does anyone know what my rights are, can I tell them to pay for where MB suggest?

Cheers, Nathan

Offer to get the additional quotes if they will pay you (handsomely) for your time and effort in doing so.

Nathan,

I know this is a pain, but get a quote from MB in Marin (right over the Richmond bridge, so it's not that far) and MB of San Francisco (it's actually right over the Bay Bridge for you).

Both those quotes will be on the high side and when you get the money, just go to where you want to go.

I'm not sure you're gonna win an arguement with the construction compnay and you'll just get yourself upset over it. It does sux that it happen.

A parking lot attendent put a big scratch on my car the three day I had it and I had to do the same thing

Good luck!

Hey, are you going to come to the happy hour next week?

Cheers,

Beth

As a Brit the consumption of alcohol and happy hours are a cultural preoccupation. Although Thursday may conflict with another culturally significant event, playing football (soccer).

The games are played on Tuesday and Thursday nights, so if it doesn't conflict, count me in.

Cheers,

Nathan

Well I hope you can join us, but I understand the need to play soccer once in a while. I feel the same way about Volleyball.
