V6 dipstick

I just tested a dipstick from an 02 2.3L 4 cyl. Coupe on my 03 3.2L 6 cyl. sedan. It appears to be approx. 3/4" too long. What that means is that the full mark on the dipstick should be considered the add mark for the V6s. Either that or you can mod it if you want.
Here is the P/N: 111-010-11-72. Price at my dealer is $24.75 + tax.
Interesting fact on my 03 - there is no dipstick. You check the oil via the dash readout. Just hope the sensor never goes out when it's low on oil, but then when you have 8 quarts of mobil one in a V6 engine, when is it ever really low?
Doh! Wardsweb, that's why we're discussing a dipstick to fill that empty hole. The V6's in the C-Sedans haven't had a dipstick since 2001.
You'll learn alot here. Just read all the negative threads with a grain of salt... we're all spoiled children here!

Say, in what part of Texas do you live? We're thinking of having a get-together in May here in Dallas area.

Amdeutsch, are you going to cut off the extra length and keep it in the tube full time? If so, does the plug end of the 230K stick seal the sedan tube effectively?
Right now its in there fulltime and not yet moded. Touchy feely here is the same. Since its been only a day since the install I cannot yet talk about the effectiveness of the seal. Give me a week or two driving with it in and I should be able to answer your question better. It does feel *gut and tight* so.

Its kinda nice having a finger loop on it instead of the non version. Right now I'm also asking my M & P guys at work what kind of adhesive I can use to secure metal and plastic (due to the expected, perceived heat) in case I decide to mod it. I also would like to keep the finger loop if I do mod it. Time will tell.
