$4000 subsidy going away???
I visited a dealer today, and he said that the $4000 loaner subsidy will probably
disappear at the end of this month, maybe next. He was sure enough of this that he would knock $5500 off of any c-coupe in his lot or on the water, but not one that would be built for me.
Anybody got any solid info on this?
He said that he suspected that the $1500 would probably be raised at that time, maybe to $2500.

Sorry, but can we stick to the subject please? I've got some multi-thousand dollar decisions to make.

2002 C230 Coupe(M111)
It was only supposed to be a one month thing. The dealers were intentionally front loaded extra coupes during the ramp up to the sedan debut. I think MB expected the economy to stay a little stronger, and the 230 Sedan to take a little longer to get up to speed/meet demand.
Try a different dealer. And if you order one, expect to pay more.
Or, you could go over to the AUDI dealer and get $4000+ off of a TT or A4 Audi has a glut of TT Coupes its trying to move. Same story as at benz...call it a loaner and sell it for 4K less :p
BTW, I heard that supersecrect deals of 10K off of the BMW 7 series are available if you play hardball with the dealer. There's also a glut of 7series buybacks that BMW doesn't know what to do with. Ah, too big of a car for me anyway
Great time to buy right now!!!
