2007 C230 Sport Problem
I am starting to have a problem with my 2007 C230 Sport and hope you guys can help.
About 2 months ago, the front driver quarter-panel was bashed in by severe wind damage blowing something into my car. I had estimates and such done for insurance, and I took it to a body shop to get repaired. The q-panel was replaced. When I was supposed to get picked up, it ended up getting finished 2 days later. I found out that the body shop had taken it to a service station to get the computer "cleared" because the airbag light was stuck on, from their description.
I finally got the car back and it seemed ok. After a couple weeks now, my wife tells me that the "low beam left" light came on yesterday, so I looked at it and the light is not working. Before I could do anything, now today the "low beam right" light is on and the right headlight is not working.
Now I am freaking out a bit because I am fearful that there is a problem with the electronics in my car. So do you guys think this could be related to the fender/computer being cleared? Is it common that both lights go in back to back days?
I would rather not spend a ton of money at a MB dealer, but I want this fixed ASAP and more importantly need it confirmed to not be a major electronics problem or related to the fender fix.
What do you guys think?

why would you have to spend alot of money at the MB dealer to fix it? if you have a 2007 c230 is should still be under warranty. They should write the repair order under warranty. DONT mention it was in an accident. Just say your left went out and then your right went out. If they determine the problem was due to the accident they cant fix it without further authorization if money is involved from you to work on the vehicle. If they do determine that it was due to an accident have them write that in the "story" so when they print you out the repair oder you can take it back to the body shop and have them fix it.
Sometimes during warranty if they determine it was caused by the accident but they still wanta fix it and can get away wit it they will fix it cause they make money on it. Depending on the service advisor and tech is how your outcome will be. This is also coming from a fellow service advisor

its under warrantee and all body shops have a guarantee on their work, I dont get how this is even a question. Go to your body shop or the dealer, if they finger each other 3 way call it and get it done.
It is possible to have one bulb blow and then another, its not like its giving a false positive, then maybe it would be an issue

I have almost 60k miles on the car now. I have the 100k certified warranty, but not sure if this is covered. I bought it with 7k miles so it was a certified used car, which is supposed to be covered until 100k.
Does that cover this?

unfortunately extended warranty works alittle different. they will charge you a diagnostic fee untill they determine it's covered under extended warranty. if it's not covered they will still diagnose the problem but still charge you the cost of finding the problem. At least thats how we handle it. maybe it's different for different dealers but im pretty sure thats how they do it to avoid free diagnosing for problems that are not covered.

Another 07 driver that loves to put miles on his I am at almost 70K on my 07. Since you are out of the factory warranty, I think you may just have to bite the bullet, and replace the bulbs yourself. With the mileage that you have, it is easily conceivable that both your bulbs have burned out. If you have the halogens, the bulbs are cheap, so it is worth it to replace and see how that goes. If you have the Xenon's Trey posted a link to Ebay that sells the OEM Philips bulbs for really reasonable.

We had a wind storm one night a whiel back that had gusts 50+ mph. I have a large trash can outside with the 2 big wheels on it. The wind blew the trashcan around my house and into the side of my car. It destroyed the quarter panel and dented the door too. The trash can is even plastic, but it did an amazing amount of damage.
