02 C230 coupe mod options

6-7 psi? Isn't that pretty low? I heard the stock supercharger is 11psi
What are you putting down? Sorry if I may sound confrontation. I'm interested in turboing my car as well thus soo many questions.

Not at all, I am more than happy to answer all the questions. The stock supercharger does not put out that much PSI, I can't remember the exact numbers, but I'm sure someone on here can tell you what it puts out on the M111 engine. Also, when switching the charge piping, the intercooler, and MAF (I put in an S55 AMG MAF), you increase your flow rate (CFM). This is also the case when switching the supercharger for a turbo. I'll run and check the exact turbo I'm running, and you guys can find and compare the specs, I did that about 2 years ago. Also, you get rid of the "parasitic horsepower loss" from using the belt to drive the supercharger.
There are other options too, you can run a twin-charged vehicle (don't suggest it) but I did see a Lotus with a supercharger and a turbo set-up on it. I don't have that kind of money to support doing that mod.

Yeah, turbo lag sucks. I had a 3000GT VR4, the lag was not nearly as bad. The twin turbo set-up I ran made it perfect. That dyno'd 320 AWHP. That was fun, heavy, but fun. A small shot of nitrous is nice, good for pre-spool.

Nice, you have a good setup here. I'm not sure about the m111 but the m271 runs at 11psi.

Yeah I did have it on eBay for a while. I needed some money to pay for some remodeling on my house and some more cash for the business. I had a few offers on it, but nothing that really persuaded me to sell it to anyone. Oh yeah, it also has a C36 rear end and axles in it (for those who were concerned in other threads about the diff. not holding up, it doesn't) the C230 rear end didn't last long, especially after working on drifting it...
It is boosting between .40-.60 hkPa. I have the Blitz SBC boost controller in it, I love it. Let's me play around with boost levels and how the fuel responds to the upped CFMs that come out. Let me know if you have any questions.

Alright, I think you kind of lost me on that one... "oh god not you...:facepalm"
Either way, we have to do what we have to do, I'm glad that I found other financing option for the business and that I found a better differential that worked on the car. I love driving it around. It's different, it handles great, and I would have totally missed it if I had sold it. It has way too much time into it, not to mention money! So...fate has it sticking with me for the long haul!

Yah but I got tired of Patrick beating me... and his obsession with me calling him "papi chulo" got old (seriously why would he use the "Mexican Hat Dance" as baby makin music?). It was weird. I must say. I miss the good ol days. You were much more gentle... well... except when you were drunk.

Oh okay, I understand now. The reason the AMG kit for the coupe wasn't used was due to the accident I had down in Florida. The damage to the front end was easier to use parts (which were/are more available) for the sedan. Thus the change in the front, the fenders are also about 3-4" shorter, I personally like the look of the front. But, I'm glad you addressed that topic, and I really didn't know about the AMG kit for the coupe (note to self). Thanks.

That sounds like a lot of performance mods to go through. Did you ever think to yourself, "I could have an STi right now that would kick this car's a$$ for much less money"? That's what I'd be thinking.
I've done mostly bolt-on stuff, and when I think about all you've done, it just seems like the wrong platform to start off with. But that's me - do have to give you for all of the work and research you must have done.

The thought of a different tuning platform has crossed my mind several times, but then again, I have gone that route before on projects:
3000GT VR4 300+AWHP dyno'd
Subaru SVX w/STI 5-speed
Mitsubishi Lancer
Honda Hatchback JDM Spec
Ha, even an F150 Lightning
My original intent with the Mercedes wasn't to tune it, not to mention make a project out of it. It was actually just my daily driver. I had done the suspension, stereo, nitrous, and tint, but after the accident I had the whole front end off, so I figured, why not.
