I love my SA - Wonder How Much I Saved
I originally went in because my headunit was turning off on it's own, and randomly forgetting it's presets and EQ settings. I checked and I still had 8,000 miles left on my CPO extended warranty. My service adviser said if there was anything wrong it would be covered.
A couple of hours later, he called me and said they were going to replace the headunit. Then he said that the tech noticed a few things that weren't complete problems now, but after my warranty expired, they would be and he said they were going to repair them now for me:
- Transmission mounts were dried out and collapsed
- Engine mounts dried out and collapsed
There was a third one on my paperwork, but I can't make out exactly what it was:
"Client states that there is a leak coming from the top side of the engine.
Cause: 015102 Crankcase ventilation covers for value
Covers - both, R & R/Clean/Seal (With value cover attached to engine and 6567 WEX
5 000000-004436 Screw
1 003-989-98-20-10 Sealant
92418 T6567 80- V/C Upper Chambers Leaking Resealed V/C Upper Chambers"
What was the last problem? Valve covers?
How much do you think all of this would have been without the warranty?

the valve covers start to have a very small oil leak. i paid $100 at the dealer to fix one side.
HU are very expensive from Mercedes but if you had the plain cd one those can be had cheap on ebay.
The mounts i have no idea on.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
My SA did the same thing while i had like 3 miles left on cpo lol.

You indeed have a decent S/M - dealer.
The captive ventilation & valve covers often leak on the 112. Tru has a R&R on his thread.
Glyn - Alpine - San Diego

Glyn,
You're only a few hundred miles from me if you are in San Diego. Just a 4 and a half hour trip down I-8 and up AZ-85 and you could visit me in Phoenix :-)

I would love to but I'm visiting my old boss. Fly back to Dallas Wednesday & shortly after that via London to home. Maybe next time.
