Strange Problem, turn key, car starts, runs fine, no electrical?

I've been having a strange problem starting my 2003 c230. When I turn the key, the car starts fine, sounds fine, but I have no gauge readings, no headlights, no power windows, no stereo power. But I do have power to my interior lights, and the car will drive fine?

Any light on this situation would help, something with the fuse box? corrosion somewhere I should check?

The car has a new battery so I know its not that.

OK, in this thread you never explained what the reason for the change is. If you come on here to ask for help you will need to provide any and all info. Members are not mind readers. They don't know what you know, experience.

It started happened before the battery change (dealer), and over a few months has progressively been getting worse (meaning starting more often with no electrical).

Reading the forum came up with possible the EIS or the front SAM. Just wondering if there are some connections or wires I should check for corrosion, sounds like an electrical connection somewhere is corroding and getting worse.

My 2005 took some water in the drivers side door sill. This compartment houses the connectors for most of the electrical system and busses. I found the connections had corroded by electrolysis because of power being passed thru these connectors to power the door locks and windows while the water was present, also killing the battery. The sill cover pops off easily enought to check it.

Sounds to me like the front SAM. The front SAM controls all that you mentioned but not the dome lights so i'm pretty sure it's that.

Front SAM is located under the hood right corner. Check out the pic below and try to see if anything is loose and such.

It would also help if you can find someone with STAR (Mercedes Diagnostics Software) to do a scan to really for sure find out.

Good luck,
