the charcoal cabin filter, above the battery
is it supposed to look grey or white when is new????

i jsut checked mine, its gray
i wasnt sure if the charcoal ones come gray or white? or if it needs a change

also what are good brands for this

ive seen the corteco one which is the same price of NON vs charcoal version
and NPH , brand

The charcoal filters above the battery are a dark gray just like a normal charcoal filter. The paper ones are white. the real ones under the dash if you have a c320 are also dark gray.

so my over battery one is gray, so must be charcoal, how do i know it needs replacemet , i hav 50000 miles

I think its every 10k to change it

I was unsure about mine so i replaced it and wrote it in my book now i know when it was done and it was only $22.00 or so

It's directly above the battery and right below the battery cover. 5< mins to change it.

shouldnt the charcoal one b e more expensive......is this a good deal or mistake

Looks like a mistake. Look at the part numbers. They're all the same per brand. There should be something to differentiate charcoal activated vs paper.
