I put summer rims on my car yesterday and found that all bushings are all crack...it also makes creaking noise(like old bed spring noise) when I go through speed bumps(only when the weather is cold)

Is that normal or I need new bushings?

 

It couldn't hurt to replace those bushings, but they don't look completely gone. At least grease them, that's where the noise is coming from.

 

How do you grease them?

 

HEY utahkompressor where in utah are you located at? im looking to get some people together to hopefully have a benz meet!

 

Well I believe that they are held in by mounts somehow, so if you unbolt the mounts, you can take the bushings out to grease them. A mechanic would probably do this for like $30 bucks or something, it may just be worth it.

I just wish there are more Benzo in Utah...people always go with bimmer here!

 

yeah i know i dont know any other people here in the forums in utah, so if you know any one else let them know. hopefully we can make it happen. but i agree all there is here is bmw and honda and or sti/evo, i have only seen a few mercedes.
