SLK350 brakes on w203?

Thanks for the reply Karo. I'm running SSR GT3 18's. Not sure what the ofsset is though. From what I understand, the SLK has brembo brakes like the C32 & C55 as well but use smaller discs? Something like 330x28mm front vs 345x30mm front !?!? I just got an entire SLK brake set off ebay for $120.

Same disks as the C55 as well.
My car (C350) also uses the 4 piston brakes (C32/C55) and I buy the C55 rotors (recently changed). One way to double check is go to rmeuropean.com and search C55 Brake Disc and SLK350 and it'll come up with same part number 203-421-09-12
Disks are 116.00 each out the door.
Edit:
Great deal. When you do the calipers you'll need to do a brake fluid flush as well with a set of new rotors you are good to go. You'll feel a difference for sure.

Can you take a pic of the calipers? That part number is indeed for an SLK350 and a CLK350 as well. I remember a member was selling CLK350 Sport brakes and they were the 2 piston rather than the 4 piston.

If you do have the 2 piston then your original comment about size is correct but that's not the C32/C55 Caliper. If you do have the 4 piston then your original comment about size is incorrect and you really do have the C32/C55 Caliper.

not exactly sure, but those "look" just like the 04.5 c230 SS calipers.
I remember reading that the ones with the 4 bolts on the front are 4 pistons.
I would guess they will fit your car.
Pretty good deal you got on those too

I don't get it all those part number contradict themselves.
Check it out on RMEuropean we confirm that the C350 and C55 Rotors match up right.
On EPC the dealer part lookup I found that the C350 and SLK350 the one you have match up as well.
C350
SLK350
If it's confirmed that me and you have the same calipers and RMEuropean confirms that me and a C55 use same rotors I don't understand what's going on?
I honestly don't get it.

Been thru this myself with part #'s and different sized calipers/rotors... See this thread:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...t-coin-ed.html
The numbers on the outside of the calipers mean nothing. You want to look at the #'s cast on the arms of the calipers. 330 will take the smaller rotors and 345 will take the larger rotors.
BTW, I still have one of each of these guys for sale, i.e. one w/330mm length arms and one with 345mm length arms, if anyone's interested (thanks to that a$$hat coin...).

Ahhhhh How did I forget about this thread. mtnman to the rescue. You are correct these are not the C55 calipers.
Anyway buddy here is how to change the caliper.

Ok, thanks everyone for clearing that up. Some I do need the 330 size rotors then. (I still have to go across the border to pick up the brakes so I can't check the numbers on the arms yet).
Hey is that granville island in your sig. pic? Yeah, it was a steal at that price. I just jumped on it the moment I saw it. They are in kinda rough shape but I figured a few hours refinishing and painting em should make them look new again.
Sorry to hear what happenned to you mtnman. Hope my brakes turn out okay. Did you ever get new brakes then?
Thanks for the attachment Karo!

nah meant yours look better than mine lol. when i get my car back ill take a pic. never ever use that wheel cleaner spray stuff. it literally eats the finish off calipers right off. the benz was the first time ive ever used any kind of wheel cleaner spray as i know its generally abrasive. all my other cars with custom wheels ive always used soap and water, i was just lazy that one time and now my calipers look like crap lol. as far as painting goes, just use high temp spray paint. im probrably going to paint mines flat black just to keep it simple. im not much into painting stock calipers but they do have DIY paint kits for calipers or if you want to be lazy just use high temp paints and it should be fine. mask off the fender of course to prevent any overspray and make sure you dont get paint into the actual pistons as that can cause seizing.

Anyone know if it's worth it to change out my rear brakes for the SLK's? I was planning to just do the fronts only and forget about the rears since I just got new pads on there.

So I don't need new dust plates for the larger rotors?
LOL. Thanks for the info. I don't have the calipers on the car yet so painting them should be much less work!
