w203 shaking

hello all.. i'm a newbie here

i just put on some 19's on my w203 and lowered it with h&r springs...ride is good but when i start to hit 60-70mph on the freeway i feel sort of a shake...

what could be the problem...is it the alignment

and another question...

i want to get projector lights...any recommendation for a plug and play

im not thinking of getting HID's...and does anyone know if the lighting will be good

im debating on getting the clear oem headlights instead of the angel eyes

thanks for your help everyone

Do you feel the shake in the steering wheel or near your feet? If its the steering wheel, check the front wheel balancing. If its near your feet, check the rear wheel balancing. Maybe you have a bump/ding on the rims?

Do you have a sedan or a coupe? If you have a sedan, getting headlights should be easy. Good luck if you have a coupe!

if the shaking only at certain speeds try running faster till you dont feel it. are you using wheel spacers? generic or hub centric?

possible causes: wheel/s unbalanced, alignment, tires not round, bent wheel/s, and generic wheel spacers will always give you a wiggle.

if your not gonna use HID OEM clear headlights should be ok. no use for projectors really if you use halogens.

get hub centric spacers first. bimmec or H&R.

yeah sounds like you need an alignment and some hub centric spacers.

thanks for the help

went and got the car aligned and balanced and the ride feels way better, but still a slight vibration...maybe their isnt such a thing a perfect ride anymore

we left the spacer on the front wheels and he quoted the hub rings for the rims @ $45 a wheel

is the hub ring necessary? will it damage anything if i dont get em...

the alignment fixed the rear scraping too

so again, thanks everyone for the advice

do you need the spacers or just have them on for looks? I'm guessing you need them to clear your calipers if they're on the fronts, because most of the time if its just for looks its on F/R or just rear. If so, you NEED spacers.

Like Patrick said the best thing is jsut wheels that are proper fitment, but if you really like your wheels, you kindof get used to the vibration

again +1. in addition you need the spacers for the caliper or strut clearance.

Bugger the rings. You need decent hubcentric spacers.
