Question Squeaking noise and Coilover

Help!!! Can anyone tell me help me or give me some input??

Eversince I installed the Carlsson Coilover, the rear part of my car is squeaking like crazy. Very noticeable when going over bump at an angle. What could happen??

There was no squeak coming from my car before i installed the CO (well there was some but cannot be heard with the radio on).

Wong Edan,

I'm having a similar problem too. Whenever there are 2 or more people sitting in the car, I heard some squeaking sound (on a bumpy road). Maybe the tires are rubbing the rear fenders! I am still not sure what are the causes of this but i will have my car checked on friday and let u know what happen. Thanks

No it's not the rubbing sound, i'm quite familiar with the rubbing sound . Maybe something to do with the Shocks installations. I think KwiK can answer this

MB C180K Coupe
Sorry to say but this sounds like what my car just came back from the dealer for after 17 days off the road !
It sounded like a body flexing noise on my 8wk old Coupe and turned out that a spot weld had failed right near the top of the hatchback where four panels come together. Took some pix last week as it was being repaired (at the only Daimler Chrysler Authorised panel beater in Sydney) as I am taking this issue further with Daimler Chrysler Oz (other things wrong with the car also) in the next few days (just picked up the car today)

My frequent visits to the dealer made me think of Buellwinkle over there in the US as my dealer has a fantastic Brasserie !

C230 Kompressor SPORTS COUPE
Mine was squeeking in the same location stock and the installation of the harsher suspension has just increased the squeeking, the first time I brought it in (when it was stock) my dealer told me it was my imagination, maybe now he will notice

my driver's side seat squeaks. no really, it does. the fabric part of the seat on the left side (below the leather) squeaks when it rubs against the plastic piece down there. it doesn't really bother me and it'll probably quit eventually.

squeeks are tough. You could have the Carlssons installed correctly and still have a squeek. Since you heard a squeek before the install, I'm guessing the Carlssons just made it more noticable. At least now it should be easier to find

If you want to verify if it's the sway bar bushings, just disconnect one end and drive around.

That's strange because that used to be a big problem with MB's, especially the W208 CLK. That piece used to be leather and it squeaked like crazy on that plastic piece. There was a new seat cover that could be put in under warranty.

For this reason, it seems as though MB has changed the design so that all seats have that piece of fabric to eliminate squeaking. But in your case, I guess it doesn't always work. You can probably just stick a piece of foam down in there or something and that might stop it.
