WINDSHIELD SCRUB?

Has anyone ever had there windshield replaced and when they hop in there vehicle and notice how clear! it is..no micro specs etc etc. Has anyone ever used a windsheild scrub? I want to go try one but i'm not sure if its worth it. I've tried numberous ways to clean my windshield to have it 100 percent perfectly clear but always failed

I've always used this spray that is graded for body shop use. It has the ability to even remove overspray, bondo and worst of all, dead bugs from your wind screen. Think of it as windex in Aquanet form. LOL. It's available at any car parts store.
As for a specific scrub.. No. I wouldn't want to scrub it anyway. If you've ever looked at automotive glass, you'll see it's grooved and not perfectly smooth like you'd expect it to be. If you have polarized sunglasses you'll see this more easily but it's trippy. Check it out.

I picked up this windshield cleaner called "no touch". The name makes no sense, but it works great. You put it on a rag and polish the glass with it. It removes *everything* including the windshield wiper marks. You will want to rain-x after that as the water will not bead at all. Rain-x sticks amazingly well after using 'no touch' on the glass.

RainX always intrigued me. It always seemed to work w/ beading but it also seemed to hamper the wiper's ability to wipe cleanly.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
I clean a lot of windows. Windex works well away from the automotive arena. For glass that causes the wipers to skip I use Bon-Ami cleanser. Make an emulsion from the white powder and work it into the glass with your fingers. You can feel when the surface is smooth. Rinse well.

I discovered a huge amount of dirt on my glass when I used a clay bar on it. That solved a streak problem I could not get rid of with Bon-Ami. I applied Rain-X according to the directions and took a trip through the central valley. The bugs did not have the guts to stick! They were, however, all over the front paintwork.

The problem with steel wool is that it is too easily contaminated, and it might leave a nasty scratch.
