best match to stock color on wheels
i want to paint my wheels on my c230. looking for the best match.
i knw you cant get the paint code for the stock wheels.
the wheels are a gunmetal/dark gray metl. the wheels look good but i want a stock look.

Can you post pics of a photoshopped or even an actual painted gunmetal rims please? How are you going to paint your wheels and also, how much will the pros do it? Thanks!

The stock rims should be painted a color called Hyper-Silver, but that shade varies from supplier to supplier. Not easy to find a paint code for this, but it has also been referred to as:
Glasurit TitanSilber Met - 9765, on other MB forums.
There is also this info which came from a MB discussion forum in the UK-
The paint codes for the colors of these wheels are:
Primer 76-71
extra fine silver 61-090
sparkling class 66-009
These came on a set of color cards from a Mercedes dealer
Not sure if that helps or adds to the confusion. I have seen a number of silver brake caliper paints that very closely match the Hyper-silver color, or you can contact a MB dealership and see if they have any better info.

Wurth makes a match for the hyper silver used by the German manufacturers. Available in a spray can. They make a clear coat to go along with it, be sure to use that also.
