Umm, yes. I believe they are going to make a C60 AMG Kompressor, that would be a supercharged V12. Best part about it is that it only cost $5,000 more. So if you're planning on getting the 2002, i think you might be better off waiting for the V12 version.

Buellwinkel, I'm sure Karmann will be more than happy to convert your car to cabrio. How much money do you have?

There will be a head unit that will receive the Sirius subscription satellite radio service. Don't count on a head unit with a CD player in the US, when MBUSA charge the dealers $500 for a Changer MBUSA buys for about $150 or less. And also not when dealers can charge up to $1800 installed for it.

No thanks Lynn, I'll just wait for the 2003 cabrio with the in dash CD player and Xenons. I don't know about the V12. With the right pulley I can get V12 power anyway.

...You folks are having too many wet dreams...

dkelly38, if you want a serious answer, let me offer one by way of a question. Let's say you're a MB product engineer. Your car is a hit, so much so that you can't put any stock on a dealer's lot, either in Europe, or that secondary market, the U.S. The car is in its first year of a 7-year product cycle, and you have a small number of quality issues that need to be addressed, first, such as fuel gauges that won't read FULL, etc. Would you make any significant changes to the car in its second year of production?

If C-Class sedan history is any indicator, the answer is no, but that's just an opinion.

The more likely changes are things that are "ready" but they do not want to introduce in the middle of a model year, less it cause confusion and frustration (mostly among dealers, who believe it or not, are always pressuring manufacturers to offer LESS options). However, these type of decisions are most likely not made until later in 2002.

Things I know they have ready, so they "could" choose to offer in 2003:

1. HID headlights option
2. Sirius Satellite Radio compatible head unit
3. Designo Interiors
4. Clutch-less Manual/Automatic (already in Europe)
5. AMG exterior bumper kit (already in Europe)
6. Parktronic (already in Europe)
7. Digital A/C option (already in Europe)
8. In-Dash CD Player (already in Europe)
9. Additional cloth color options (already in Europe)
10. Additional colors, or dropping custom fee for some existing colors.

What they actually decide to do, who knows. I sure don't.
