lug bolts for 2007 c28o
sorry to bother you but I need your expertise. I am also from toronto. I bought a used oem alloy wheel 16 inch with winter tires on for my 2007 c280. the one I bought came from E series W211 and calls for 14x1.5 bolt thread. mine is 12x1.5. I noticed my bolt is too long for this alloy wheel. should I get a shorter 12x1.5 or a shorter 14x1.5 if it fits safely ( I was reading all your input) Am I right that 12 or 14 represent the diameter of the bolt? will it fit? thx
W211 E series...alloy wheel no. B66471916
W203 C 280 (2007) alloy wheel no. B66470766
bless you and thank you
Mercedes C-class (W203) have two bolt sizes:
-long- M12x1.5 thread, R12 ball seat, 39.9 mm shank, 17 mm Hex (for OEM alloy wheels)
-short- M12x1.5 thread, R12 ball seat, 20.6 mm shank (for winter "steelies")
E-Class (W211, S211) from `02 - alloy & steel wheel -
M14x1.5 thread, R13 ball seat, 26.7mm shank, 17mm hex
You'll need custom lug bolts with:
M12x1.5 thread, R13 ball seat, 26.7mm shank, 17mm hex
It'll be a pain finding these custom lug bolts in good quality. Better to get W203 winter rims or just put the 16" winter tires on your W203 16" rims.
