Cell phone connection in center console

Has anyone done any experimenting with the cell cradle plug in the center console? I have a motorola V phone but not a Mercedes special V series. My guess is all the connections for power, speaker, mic, and RF should be there (in addition to the tx & rx lines I couldn't use w/o the special software in the MB V phone). The connection looks like a standard RJ45 plug. Anyone tried anything?

My guess is the tx & rx lines are there as well and could be hooked into the serial port on a laptop or PDA. With a format hack all sorts of things could be controlled from the wheel.

Also, I was looking at the seats and was wondering what is different between the powered and heated seats? Anyone know if the heating coil is in the standard powered seats and not just hooked up?

Actually,. that cable goes to the trunk (I think its the trunk on the new C class) where there is a module that can plug into that cable and the fibre=optic bus that connects head-unit, CD, VCS, teleaid

(nb, cable is only pre-installed on US models)
